Principle full-time roles:


Prior to being appointed as SAB’s youngest ever GM, I was, in 1985, responsible for and authored ‘The Beverage market in 2001:  16 year vision long term scenarios and strategies’, presented to and well received by the SAB Board.

I assisted the privatised Sorghum industry through the 1990s, as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman: Audit Committee of United National Breweries.


At Teljoy Holdings Limited my role was that of Corporate Strategy Director, creating long term strategic financial models to guide investment decisions, assets, profitability and funding decision making.


At Seeff, in the capacity of Group Managing Director I shaped and created capacity to directly lead the group to undertake a successful IPO on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Also created the first major mortgage origination businesses in South Africa, first with Christo Wiese at Boland Bank, then with Standard Bank’s Home Loan division, which was the forerunner of what became the dominant provider Mortage SA/Ooba.


As CEO: MasterCard SmartLink, a JV born in Germiston SA, then based at the MasterCard Global HQ, New York we created the SAP integration with the MasterCard Corporate Solutions Suite. It was sold into large clients, for example, International Paper (Fortune 50), World Bank, City of Toronto, City of Manchester.
